Your Bijoux Box: January 2014 Review and Promo Code

Your Bijoux Box Greeting Card

Your Bijoux Box is a subscription service that sends you 3 pieces of on-trend jewelry every month.  The cost of the service is $35/month, and the total retail value of each box is at least $70.  This was the first box I had received from them.  Before subscribing, I had looked at pictures of the contents of previous boxes, and they all seemed like pieces that I would want to wear.  So I was excited to sign up and was looking forward to my first box!  The box arrived a few days ago.  Here's what I got:

Each piece was nicely packaged in a black velvet drawstring bag, and there was an information card describing all of the jewelry in the box.

Information Card

The first piece of jewelry I received was the Tortoise Fitzgerald Collar.  As the information card says, this necklace has tortoise petals alternating with crystal drops.  I can definitely see this being a great way to dress up a plain black sweater, which is something I tend to wear a lot in the wintertime.

Next were the Art Deco Tortoise Earrings.  These match the tortoise necklace, but I think it might be a bit much to wear them together, right?  Either way, I really like these earrings.  They have a diamond-shaped tortoise piece along with a crystal-embellished piece of the same shape.  The pieces are separate and move on their own.  I will say that these earrings are rather heavy, but I got used to the weight after wearing them for a little while.

My next piece was the Snow Flower Necklace.  This is a gorgeous sparkly necklace whose pretty pastel colors can be worn both now and into the spring.  The info card suggests pairing this with a gray sweater dress, which I think is a great idea.

Since I used a promo code when I signed up (which I will share at the end of this post), I got an extra necklace in my box!  It wasn't included on the info card, but it was a long gold tone necklace with hammered gold rings.  I thought that the quality of this necklace wasn't as good as the others; two of the rings actually came apart when I put it on.  However, I put them back together and made sure they were tightly secured.  I don't think they will come apart again when I wear the necklace, which I definitely plan to do.  This is a versatile piece that I will be able to wear often.

Overall, I think Your Bijoux Box is a great way to expand your jewelry collection with fashionable, wearable pieces.  The jewelry seems to be good quality, and I think it is a great value for the price.  I was very happy with this box and am looking forward to next month!
